We Welcome You To Troop 650!

Welcome to Troop 650. We have many exciting things to offer your boys to get them excited for the Scouting program, such as monthly campouts, fundraisers (such as the BBQ and campcard fundraisers to help them pay their dues or to help them go to Summer Camp), community service projects, and so much more. Boys will have a very fun experience in this troop, and they'll learn some very important things too. For more details, come check us out at Pinewood Presbyterian Church on Mondays (except school holidays) at 7:00pm.

Please be aware that access to this site is limited to Troop 650 members only. To get access, you must be fully registered with the Troop. ~Thanks

Court of Honor - Last troop meeting of the scout year

Posted by Terri Dollinger on May 20 2015 - 2:12am

Parts of the Scout Law - A Scout is Trustworthy...a Scout is Helpful...a Scout is Courteous...a Scout is Obedient.

June 1st is our last troop meeting for the scouting year.  Our plan was to be able to celebrate the past year with a group meal and Court of Honor awards ceremony.  However, there is too much scout business that remains.  So before the celebration can begin, the Troop Treasurer, Francis Dollinger will be collecting outstanding dues, adult summer camp registration fees, summer camp participant travel fees, and the remaining BBQ fundraiser payments.  The Health Records Coordinator, Jason Beasley with the assistance of Terri Dollinger will collect an original and one copy of all outstanding Health Records A/B and A/B & C for summer camp.  The Advancement Chair, Terri Dollinger will be collecting any remaining youth leadership position and procedural workbooks.  The Scoutmaster, Rob Murphy, will be leading the scouts in the troop elections for Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders.

Family Campout

Posted by Terri Dollinger on May 19 2015 - 11:45pm

The Family campout is scheduled for the end of this month.  At this point only 3 scouts and 6 adults are registered to attend.  The plan is to bring the troop's BBQ trailer for Saturday's dinner with attendees bringing a side dish.  Food will be purchased based on registered attendance.  PLEASE REGISTER YOUR INTENT.

DUES REMINDER & CHANGES EFFECTIVE AUG 2015

Troop Dues are scheduled as follows:
May ...$24

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 2015 dues will increase to $25 per month and collected monthly.

The Dec 2014 Troop Committee meeting decided to abandon a yearly troop fundraiser and increase the dues instead. All fundraisers made available to the scouts will have 100% of profits credited to their campership account. Campership accounts can be used to pay for dues, camping fees, troop uniform items, and/or summer camp.

$55 Summer Camp Travel Costs

Posted by Francis Dollinger on May 19 2015 - 7:14pm

Summer Camp Travel costs have been estimated at $55 per participant (Scout and adults not drivining).  If a Scout has a parent driving, that Scout can pay the $55 or the $55 can be deducted from the parent's gas expenses.  The $55 needs to be paid at the Troop meeting June 1.

Uniform Requirements

Posted by Lance Dollinger on Mar 10 2015 - 9:05pm

Do you know what to wear for scout activities?  Judging from how everyone looks at our recent troop meetings, the answer would be no.  Here is a friendly reminder of what is expected in regards to wearing the scout uniform for Scouts and Scouters.
