We Welcome You To Troop 650!

Welcome to Troop 650. We have many exciting things to offer your boys to get them excited for the Scouting program, such as monthly campouts, fundraisers (such as the BBQ and campcard fundraisers to help them pay their dues or to help them go to Summer Camp), community service projects, and so much more. Boys will have a very fun experience in this troop, and they'll learn some very important things too. For more details, come check us out at Pinewood Presbyterian Church on Mondays (except school holidays) at 7:00pm.

Please be aware that access to this site is limited to Troop 650 members only. To get access, you must be fully registered with the Troop. ~Thanks

TroopMaster Web

Scouts and scout parents are often interested in what advancement, training or other records the troop has in their database.  Sometimes you just want to compare the scout handbook with the troops records.  Or you are out camping and you forgot your handbook (again) and you wonder what requirements you could be working on during the campout.  Well you have two ways to check this information online.  First is to go to TroopMaster Web site. The link is located on the top right corner of this webpage.  OR you can download the TM Mobile app for your smartphone. It's free.  In both cases, you will be asked to enter your user ID and password.

Camp FGL is located in LaGrange, Georgia.  We are going June 18-24.

We need to know ASAP who expects to go so we can secure our spots.

The camp fee per scout is $270.  Transportation costs will be determined at a later date.

Please go here to read more about Camp FGL.  http://campfgl.com/

Please indicate on the sign up on the troop website if your scout plans on attending.
Camp FGL offers an extensive aquatics program with a saltwater pool in addition to a lake and available jet ski program (14 yo and up/additional fee required).  Additonally, it offers over 50 merit badges.

Other unique features include:

Astronomy merit badge and Space Exploration merit badge taught by the Columbus State University’s Coca-Cola Space & Science Center. These are night classes!

Environmental Science and Soil/Water Conservation merit badges have a boat excursion with the Chattahoochee River keepers. They will take the Scouts out on a deck boat to work with biologists and participate in hands on activities to enhance these merit badges and complete certain requirements for their merit badges.
